Daniel Yoho, a former District Secretary of Sissala District now Sissala East under the PNDC administration has blamed central government for the poor Road network in the Upper East and West Regions of Ghana.
He said it is the responsibility and a policy of central government to create accessible roads linking all regions in Ghana for easy transportation.
He lamented that, government over the years neglected the road linking the two Upper Regions making transportation and business unbearable for the people.
He added that, the road linking the two Upper regions especially Wa to Tumu is a commercial road between Ghana and Burkina Faso where a lot of business activities are going but the poor nature of the road over the years makes business very difficult for the people in the regions.
The former Secretary expressed this on Thursday 7th October, 2019 in Tumu during a Press encounter with the Municipal Chief Executive for Sissala East. The MCE read a report on Socio-Economic Development of the Sissala East Municipal.
Daniel Yoho however, called on Government to fix the road to improve economic growth and livelihood of the people.
