A 25-year-old cashier at the Wa branch of savings and loans Limited, Sinapi Aba, has committed suicide.
The man, named Amatus Maabol from Nandom Ko, hanged himself to death on Monday, 2nd March, 2020 and his remains had already been deposited at the Wa municipal hospital.
The lifeless body of Mr Amatus was discovered hanging on a nylon rope tied around his neck against a ceiling button in an uncompleted building in Danku, a community under the Wa municipality of the Upper West Region.
Landlord of the deceased, Mr Eugine Galyuoni who spoke to journalists with tears described the late Amatus as a calm man.
He expressed shock over what could have caused the late Amatus to take his own life in search a painful way.
The assembly member for Bamahu electoral area, Adams Yahaya Jiga encouraged the general public to seek advice from friends and professional counselors whenever they are going through difficult times.
Amatus is unmarried and had worked at the Sinapi Aba savings and loans limited for less than a year, according to reports.
