Access to potable water has become a challenge for residents at Woloyiri a farming community in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region.
Two out of tree boreholes serving over 200 residents has broken down for over three months. The community members described the situation as survival for the fitters as they struggle to fetch water from the only single functional borehole. Residents narrate their ordeal in getting water for domestic chores as horror.
The residents have therefore resorted to levying themselves to be able to repair the broken down boreholes.
They are therefore appealing to the Wa West District Assembly to come to their aid and support them repair the broken down boreholes.
