The Daffiama Bussie Issah Assembly mobilised a total of GH₵94,946.10 as internally generated funds (IGF) in the first half of the year.
This represents 69.15 percent of GH₵137,306.08 it targeted for the
Mr. Nadi Imori Sanda, the District Chief Executive (DCE), announced this when he addressed the second ordinary meeting of the Assembly at Issa.
The DCE urged the Coordinating Director and his team to reactivate the revenue tasked force of the assembly which has been dormant, to ensure that they achieve their target.
He said the Assembly received an amount of GH₵ 436,998.18 as it’s 4th quarter of 2017 share of the District Assemblies Common Fund in April this year.
Mr. Nadi Imoro Sanda indicated that the district has been relatively peaceful and stable in the area of security.
He however indicated that there is a chieftaincy dispute in Jolinyiri adding that the district Security Council is putting measures to stop any possible disturbance in the community.
The deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Amidu Ishaq Chinnia who was part of the meeting stated that, it is the duty of the Regional Coordinating Council headed by the Regional Minister to monitor and evaluate all the Assemblies and also report to the Local Government Minister.
He applauded the Assembly members for the successful election of a presiding member.
He also urged the Assembly members and Chiefs to rally behind and support the District Chief Executive to deliver on his mandate.
