Madam Katherine T. Lankono, the District Chief Executive of Nadowli-Kaleo has on Thursday inspected a number of feeder roads under construction by the assembly to facilitate transportation of goods and services in the district.
The DCE was accompanied by the district Engineer, Gilbert Kwabina Amenano to inspect newly constructed roads from Dambaa to Dapour, Dambaa to Mawaare, Dambaa to Dah and Nadowli to Tangasie.
In an interview with the DCE, she said the projects were financed by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
She said some community self-helped road projects have also being constructed in some parts of the district to enable farmers to have easy access to market centres to sell their produce and to also have easy access to other communities.
Madam Katherine T. Lankono commended the community members for cooperating with the contractors during their stay at the various communities and gave the assurance that the assembly would construct more accessible roads in the district to help residents.
She promised to engage the Ministry of Roads and Highways as well as the Ministry Of Finance to release funds for the repairs of some weak and broken bridges in the district, since many bridges in the district are in bad shape.
