Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw the parliamentary candidate for the Wa East Constituency for the NDC and his campaign team has donated tailoring and hairdressing materials to a total of 31 Young Women at Kpaglaghi and Bulenga in the Wa East Constituency of the Upper West Region.
The team attended the two ceremonies at a passing out program organized by the Hairdressers and Dressmakers Association and donated 100 pairs of scissors,100 measuring tapes, 30 hairdressers’ combs amongst others as startup tools to support the Young Graduating Women who will now be on their own as qualified professionals. The candidate congratulated the graduants for successfully undergoing their respective training and promised to prioritize skills and vocational training for young people as a way of encouraging entrepreneurship and creating employment when voted in election 2020.
The graduants who each received the materials to enable them start their enterprises thanked the Parliamentary candidate for his kind gesture and also promised to support him.
Dr. Jasaw also made similar donations to BECE Candidates towards the Basic Education Certificate Examination that took place on 6th June 2019,
Dr. Godfred Seidu Jasaw donated mathematical sets to 47 schools across the Wa East constituency in the Upper East Region.
The parliamentary candidate, started the donations on Monday 3rd June 2019 at the Bulenga and Loggu zones of the constituency.
The donation covered the 47 registered schools that wrote the final exams
Teachers, students and parents expressed gratitude to the parliamentary candidate for his timely benevolence.
They said, “his gesture is the first of it’s kind”.
They encouraged him to continue his good works to support the underprivileged in the community.
In his latest donation, the candidate was accompanied by the constituency Secretary, women organizer for wa East, Deputy Women’s Organizer for Wa Central, Communications Officer and his Deputy and the Constituency Treasurer.
