Government quest to provide sports infrastructure across the country , still remain relevant on top of the agenda as some initiations are underway to construct six more new multi purpose youth centres in the six newly regions.
The New Patriotic Party manifesto prior to the 2016 election on page 15 stated categorically clear on the intention of building 10 multiple purpose youth centres across the country, has seen the light of the day as many of the projects are nearing completion and some are still under construction.
In an exclusive interview on Metro TV Sports Direct Show with Michael Oduro , Kofi Asare Abatie , spokes person and a personal Aid to the Sports Minister, Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah disclosed that plans are far underway to construct six more new multi purpose youth centres in the six newly created regions .
The Sports Ministry are in negotiations with Chiefs and Elders of the various identified towns and communities where these projects will be sited in the newly created regions to lobby for land for the construction of these projects.
The former sports broadcaster , now spokes person and special Aid to the Sports Minister allayed all fears and skepticism of Government commitment towards the completion of the already projects under construction across the country .
In response of time frame for the completion of these projects, he was a bit reluctant and believes firmly that all the projects will be completed in the next 7 months .
