Less than 5% of nurses in Ghana know the ethics of nursing-Director General of Ghana Health Service

Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma –Aboagye has revealed that less than 5% out of 77, 000 nurses in Ghana know the ethics of the nursing profession.

He said a survey conducted by the Ghana Health Service in all the regions of Ghana revealed that out of the over 77, 000 nurses in Ghana, less than 5% of them know the ethics of nursing.

According to him, the survey was conducted after several reports of nurses misconduct in health facilities across the country.

Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye made this known on Wednesday 8th January 2020 when he paid a courtesy call on the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih in his office.
