The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) of Nadowli-Kaleo district has donated 6 packets of zinc as relief items to Kalesagra R/C Junior High School in the district.
Radio Progress three weeks ago reported on the unfortunate incident that hit the Kalesagra R/C Junior High School after heavy wind storm ripped off the school and children were compelled to study under a Shea tree.
Madam Katherine T. Lankono, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nadowli-Kaleo together with some officials of NADMO in the district said the Assembly was committed to providing quality education in the area.
The DCE mad a passionate appeal to the people of Kalesagra to take advantage of government social interventions to better their lives. She mention the Free Senior High School policy, planting for food and jobs, planting for export and fertilizer subsidy as some of the major social intervention programmes that they can take advantage of.
She urged the youth to stay at home and use their energies and enthusiasms to serve their communities. Madam Katherine also educated the people on man-made and natural disasters and advised them to desist from building their houses along water ways as well as guard against bushfires. The community members thanked the DCE for the relief items.
