U/W: Healthway Foundation donates food items to students of Wa School for the Deaf

Healthway Foundation, a non-profit non governmental organization operating in the Upper West Region have donated twenty-three boxes of Start cornflakes to school children of Wa School for the Deaf.

Speaking to the students and staff of the school after the donation, the Chief Executive Officer CEO of Healthway Foundation who doubles as the wife of the Upper West Regional Minister Madam Reyana Hakim Bin Salih said the donation of the food items to the special school forms part of the organizations Corporate Social Responsibility to various institutions and organizations in the Upper West region to put smiles on the faces of the poor, less privileged persons in society.

Madam Reyana Hakim Bin Salih indicated that the foundation have supported in diverse and will continue to support institutions, individuals and organizations in the region when the need arises.

The CEO appealed to well endowed sons and daughters of the region as well as NGO’s to always contribute their quota by sharing their meager resources with less privileged persons and institutions in the region to help develop it.

The Headteacher of the Wa School for the Deaf Mr Sylvester Bayor on behalf of the students and staff thanked Healthway Foundation and it’s CEO for coming to the aid of the school in times of need.

Mr Bayor said the challenges confronting the school includes a broken down manual borehole and leaking on the school roofings and appealed to the general public to come to the aid of the school.
