The Chief Executive Officer of Healthway Foundation and wife of Upper West Regional Minister Mrs Hafiz Bin Salih Reyana together with some staff of the foundation have donated an undisclosed amount of money to Radio Progress Humanitarian Campaign project to support Madam Danyi Ewula, a 39year old married woman from Jirapa Municipality suffering from Breast Cancer sickness.
Speaking after the donation to Management of Radio Progress, Madam Hafiz B S Reyana who is the CEO of Healthway Foundation said she was touched and could not sleep after she heard the sad and pathetic story of Madam Danyi Ewula that she is suffering from Breast Cancer ailment.
She said as a health practitioner over the years she knows the pains and plight of breast cancer patients and urged sons and daughters of the region to support the patient to enable TTH treat her.
The CEO disclosed that since the inception of the foundation they have supported and donated to various organizations and individuals in the Upper West region for the growth and development of the region.
Madam Reyana advised women in the Upper West region to report early to health facilities with any suspicion or signs of breast cancer for early treatment.
The Head of Programmes and News Editor for MMD Radio Progress Morris Banaamwine who spoke on behalf of Management and the family of Danyi Ewula thanked the CEO of Healthway Foundation and wife of the Upper West Regional Minister Madam Reyana Hafiz Bin Salih responding quickly to the plight of the breast cancer patient referred to Tamale Teaching hospital and urged other organizations, individuals and Associations to emulate their gesture by supporting Madam Ewula.
Last week Friday, Radio Progress aired a sad story about Madam Danyi Ewula on the most popular and listened Family Lifestyle Programme in the Upper West region dubbed “Friday Morning Toaster” to solicit for support for her to undergo treatment at TTH in the Northern region.
