Nasirdeen Baduong, a parliamentary candidate hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Wa East constituency, has stated that when he is given the mandate to serve his people as a Member of Parliament, he will change the narrative of the state of development of the area.
He revealed that the incumbent Member of Parliament, who he described as his father has done his best and should leave the rest for him to finish.
Speaking to Prince Daud Katouri of Radio Progress on the Sabbathical reggae programme, Mr. Baduong Nasirdeen regretted that the Wa East constituency is the only district in the region that do not even have a millimeter of tarred or good road, a situation he said does not help the many farmers in the area who need to transport their farm produce to the regional capital.
According to him, he will also see to it that the huge women population in the area will be assisted to do small scale businesses to augment their farming incomes, which is but a onetime activity in the year.
He was in the region to tour the Wa East District giving new year messages and looking forward in to the year. His visit took him to all corners of the district interacting with the citizenry and holding back door meetings with party executives.
He said as a youthful person he has got lots of positive ideas to put in the district in the coming years even if the people did not choose him to lead them.
