Wa East : NPP Communication Director Celebrates Government Achievements Ahead Of 2020 Polls


The Wa East Communication Director for the ruling New Patriotic Party Wongtina Baamutu has chronicled the achievements of the ruling NPP government led by President Nana Akufo Addo and the District Chief Executive as well as the Member of Parliament in his constituency ahead of the 2020 General Election.

The official mouth piece of the constituency in the Elephant kindred singled out a number of individual achievements led by the construction of roads and the Kulung bridge which has become a bottleneck for residents in the area.

With barely four months to the election show down, the vociferous Communication Director Wongtina Baamutu hailed the construction of road networks as one of the key contributions of the government to livelihood of the people in Wa East.

Speaking on the Radio Progress Super Morning Drive, Wongtina Baamutu did not mince words in highlighting the sensitivity of the Akufo Addo led government towards the people of Wa East including his flagship programme of Planting for Food and Jobs among others to alleviate the sufferings of the constituents .

“From the expansion of roads in the Wa East to the spectacular scenes at the Kulung Bridge, one is forced to think that Kulung has been turned into Tema. The roads have been extended and the bridge is taking shape”, Wongtina Baamutu told Morris Banaamwine on Progress Super Morning Drive.

The Wa East Constituency registered a little over 40K potential voters ahead of the upcoming General Election in the Just ended voter registration exercise by the country’s electoral body.

The Parliamentary race in the Constituency will see first time contenders from the two major political parties namely Dr Godfred Seidu Jesaw of the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC and Hon Yakubu Salifu from the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP going into a fierce contest to unseat incumbent MP Godfred Bayon Tangu.
